This is my entry for the I heart faces photo challenge this week. My little sister has the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen and I LOVE taking pictures of them <3 I'll never get tired of it.

I heart faces photo challenge: Friendship

As soon as I saw "friendship" I immediately thought of this picture. To me this perfectly embodies the spirit of friendship :D One of my closest friends and her German exchange student trying to take a serious picture but obviously failing haha

procrastinating

Yes... I am posting something else today. Within minutes of my last post. For those of you who are wondering why (and even if you aren't I'm going to tell you) it's because i'm procrastinating.
I really
really
really
don't want to go on a run.
but i really really should.
I need some exercise.
So I'm going to go on a run after I'm done blogging. Which means i'm going to take as long as humanly possible to blog to avoid it.
So... I'm going to show you my favorite picture I've ever taken.



See? I don't know why i like this picture so much. Maybe because it's a good picture (probably not though...) I think it's because it feels like an accomplishment to me. This was taken about a year ago. When I first decided to turn my camera to manual (even though my photography teacher told me that i still needed to work on shutter priority) ha. That's right...I'm a rebel. The other reason is that for some reason I just love lighting pictures with windows. This is completely natural light and I really really love it.
ok... that's all i can really say.
procrastination time is over now i guess.
oh wait.
it isn't
I just ate half of a sandwich.
and I once read somewhere that you shouldn't exercise for 3o minutes after you eat
now I can't run for 30 min.
ha, take that exercise gods.

list

Today must be "nobody text/call/talk to caitlyn" day or something... even all my little siblings left or had friends over.
But I'm just here doing nothing, while everyone else is busy doing stuff.
Which is a problem because when i'm bored I eat. and get fat... which just makes me more depressed.
I think if i stopped looking at the world through my camera lens and actually tried to make some friends that would solve the problem...
Ha. like that's ever going to happen.
So instead i'm just going to sit here and feel sorry for myself.


Actually, I'm going to make a list of things that make me happy.
(not in any particular order)


1. Baby animals
(This is a picture of our geese about a month ago when we first got them)




2. This picture, idk why but whenever I see it I just smile :)




3. Pretty eyes. Seriously... I'm creepy about eyes haha.



4. Facebook friend requests. If people knew how excited I get when I get a friend request, or a notification... or anything really they would probably like all my stuff.
or they would get creeped out and unfriend me.
ya... probably the second one.



5. Food. These are my dad's fresh blueberry scones.

Eyes

I just have a weakness for beautiful eyes.
I can't help but photograph them.
Doesn't my sister have pretty eyes?

I guess you can't really see them in that picture. But if you click on it to make it giant you can.

Got up at 4:15 am to get this one.
And climbed up on the top of my roof
I almost died (From fear not because I was actually in any danger)



The real reason I got up at that ungodly hour was to take pictures of the sunrise. The sunrise the day before this was GORGEOUS but I didn't have time to actually get out the ladder and get on the roof.
So of course the day I actually decided to get up

and get ready

and get on the roof

and sit on the roof in the freaking cold from 4:15 to about 5:30

the sunrise looked like this...




ya.... not a glimmer of pink in sight through the whole darn thing

and it was overcast the rest of the day to boot.

and yes i forgot to watermark that last photo... but i'm to lazy to watermark it and re upload it right now. So just please don't take it. Not that i think anybody would even want it but...Just in case.

So this is the day I decided to put my camera to vivid color...
ya, that's right... i didn't know you could do that before.
I'm actually amazed at how much of a diference it makes.



see that? Much better. Not that you had seen any of my photography before...but I guess you'll just have to take my word for it.

So the other day I was trying to give my sister a makeover (she refuses to let me photograph her if i don't give her a makeover first... i worry about that kid sometimes) and she was in a mood... let me tell you. If anyone else heard her they probably would have been sincerely offended. Someday I will share some of her humor with you, but please put off reading it until you are in a good mood. Just a tip. I think i might just start posting a picture and a quote every day from her.

Anway... about half way through the makeover she put her hands in front of her face and said "oh... wait wait. One more condition. You have to put these pictures up on your blog and on facebook so everyone will comment on how beautiful i am"

I will seriously never get tired of taking pictures of this kids eyes. They are GORGEOUS.

Also,she is pretty much the only one in my family that let's me take pictures of her.



but don't tell her that... she thinks she's just special :P

Hello again

Wow... I'm not even sure what to say haha It's been so long since I posted something (more than a year!) and so much has happened. Not that I used to even say anything interesting OH! Guess what??
I just got a new camera about a month ago.
A real one, a nikon d70 (my very first non-point-and-shoot camera) Not that you care... but here is a picture of it




and me...
sigh...
I am in love with this camera... seriously. I could just look at it all day.
